SUMMARY:
The primary role of the Shipping and Receiving role is to support manufacturing operations through effective supply chain processes. These processes will ensure materials are received and stored appropriately and medical components are packaged and shipped per customer requirements.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
• Working independently and within a team, as needed
• Developing and maintaining strong interpersonal relationships across functions to support the delivery of incoming goods and the shipping of customer orders
• Effective use of the ERP system to perform receiving of purchase orders, transacting of materials and shipping of Sales orders
• Support production planning by having materials received and communicating shortages or overstock of materials
• Participate in driving on time delivery results by shipping product when requested and using the proper ship method
• Maintaining accurate inventories and performing cycle counts
• Complying with FDA regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), general safety and manufacturing procedures, and company practices and policies
• Implementation of lean and continuous flow principles in support of manufacturing
• Transfer goods between buildings, in and out of warehouse locations and loading or unloading trucks using a fork lift or other material handling equipment
• Support Material Handler’s when needed
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse, Daily housekeeping, continuous consolidation of materials and washing of the floors
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications
• Must have a minimum of a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to read, comprehend and communicate in English
• Skilled at interpersonal awareness
• Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills
• Self-directed and motivated
• Demonstrated ability to handle stressful situations
• Strong math skills
• Fork lift or material handling equipment experience desired
• Computer skills required:
o Windows operating system in a networked environment
o Microsoft Office
