Primary Objective:
To take responsibility for the quoting and pricing tools housed within the Strategic Pricing Team (SPT) and the underlying analytics to continually improve pricing outcomes. Additionally, this role will support potential future strategic efforts undertaken by the SPT to enhance its impact across the organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identifying opportunities to further enhance tools, ensuring key data inputs are up-to-date and maintaining existing quoting/pricing tools.
- Assist Market Value Manager in prioritizing opportunities and assigning them to engineers.
- Own and manage data-driven tasks for our internal "Strategic Pricing Team", including data entry, maintenance, and tracking/prioritization of RFQs and datasets.
- Leverage Microsoft Excel and other relevant tools for cost analysis and RFQ pricing computations.
- Maintain a detail-oriented approach while ensuring processes remain organized, methodical, and efficient.
- Prioritize and communicate task timelines effectively to stakeholders.
- Stay updated on industry pricing trends and internal pricing analytics and participate in strategic discussions on refining pricing strategy and related models.
- Handle diverse and dynamic tasks for the Strategic Pricing Team on an ad-hoc basis to support overall workflow.
- Analyze costing estimation against realized results to identify opportunities to enhance cost estimation fidelity.
- Synthesize win and loss data related to quoting outcomes to propose and build adjustments to margin application tool.
Reporting Structure:
This position reports to the Market Value Manager (head of the Strategic Pricing Team).
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Management, Business and/or Engineering Degree or related field preferred. Appropriate experience may be considered.
- One (1) to three (3) years of experience in sales operations, pricing, or engineering, with exposure to pricing models, and corporate workflows. CDMO experience a plus, but not required.
- Candidate preferred to have proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM systems, Microsoft Excel, and familiarity with structured data ingestion.
- Candidate preferred to have proficiency with data-mining tools (e.g., Alteryx) and languages (e.g., SQL) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau)
- Candidate preferred to have experience working with finance systems and tools (e.g., IQMS)
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Showcases communication skills with strong oral and written communications across functions, including ability to collaborate with sales function, pricing function, and other internal stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities to navigate ambiguous circumstances and identify potential process delays.
- Adaptability to evolving processes and strategic capabilities to support future Strategic Pricing Team impact initiatives.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to assist Production activities as required.
