Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Supply Chain Management

• Develop and execute supply chain strategies to optimize inventory levels, minimize costs, and improve overall efficiency
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand, plan production schedules, and coordinate procurement activities
• Procure new vendors, monitor, and evaluate supplier performance, negotiate contracts, and establish strong vendor relationships to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials
• Continuously assess and mitigate supply chain risks and implement appropriate contingency plans
• Implement and maintain effective systems for tracking and reporting key supply chain metrics

Planning and Development

• Analyze processes and identify areas for improvement in terms of quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness
• Support production plans and schedules that optimize resource utilization and meet customer demands
• Identify opportunities for automation and technology integration to enhance current state

Process Improvement

• Conduct regular process assessments and identify opportunities for streamlining and standardization
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational excellence
• Utilize data analytics to identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas of improvement within the supply chain and production processes
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement best practices and standardized procedures
• Train and mentor team members on process improvement methodologies and tools

Team Leadership and Collaboration

• Lead and inspire a team, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback
• Foster a collaborative and cross-functional work environment, promoting effective communication and teamwork
• Collaborate with other teams, such as purchasing, distribution, and quality assurance, to ensure alignment and integration of processes
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with external partners, including suppliers, vendors, and third-party logistics providers
• Other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager.

Position Requirements:

Qualifications

• Have 5 years of supply chain, operations, or sourcing experience
• Have 3 years of supervisory or management experience
• Have an accredited college degree. supply chain management, operations, or a related field a plus
• Have a hands-on, “in the trenches” style work ethic, high level of energy, and contagious enthusiasm
• Are highly proficient with MS Excel
• Have a particularly strong attention to detail and an unwavering belief in data integrity
• Are able to effectively explain your thoughts, ideas, and analysis results (both written and oral)
• Have experience with overseas factories, especially in China or India (preferred)
• Have previous technical experience with ERP, inventory management, or supply chain management software (preferred)
