Spectrum Software Technology (SST) is currently seeking a Software Engineer for our civil aviation programs. BS or higher in related field with 10 years of experience, or 15 years of experience without degree. Must have strong Java EE / Jakarta EE experience. The position is based at the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)’s William J. Hughes Technical Center adjacent to the Atlantic City International Airport, New Jersey. Hybrid with 1-2 days per week remote.

- Install new Design Java EE / Jakarta EE software using object-oriented design patterns
- Design, develop, document, test and debug applications software and systems that contain algorithmic and mathematical solutions
- Develop applications to solve highly complex technical challenges
- Develop test harnesses to support software testing
- Provide software support for a real-time air traffic management system
- Debug software problems and provide solutions
- Develop software requirements
- Document verification and validation of solution sets and protocols
- Improve operations by conducting systems analysis and recommending changes in policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with software standards
