Job Summary:
The Bookkeeper will oversee daily operations, financial processes, and administrative support for a small, tightly-knit team. Reporting directly to the leadership team, this role requires a proactive individual who can maintain trust accounting integrity, supervise team productivity, and ensure a high standard of service in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management
- Manage accounts payable and receivable with a focus on detail and accuracy.
- Oversee trust accounting processes, ensuring compliance and proper fund allocation.
- Process financial transactions including checks, wire transfers, and cash deposits.
- Collaborate on collections efforts and payment plan management.
Administrative Operations
- Supervise a small team to ensure task completion and overall productivity.
- Maintain and organize confidential records and documents.
- Oversee office logistics, including schedules, workflows, and communication.
Technology & Reporting
- Utilize QuickBooks and Excel for financial tracking, reporting, and data conversions.
- Assist in transitioning to a new case management software system in early 2024.
What We’re Looking For:
Required Skills:
- 3 years of experience in AP/AR or financial management roles.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel (data conversions, reporting).
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in trust accounting or similar financial environments.
- Familiarity with case management software is a plus.
- Bilingual in Spanish is highly desirable but not required.
Schedule:
- 5 days onsite with flexible working hours (8:30 AM – 4:30 PM or 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM).
