RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and maintain standard and activity-based cost accounting systems to support accurate financial tracking and strategic decisions.
- Conduct in-depth cost analyses, highlighting profitability trends by product line, customer, and region.
- Identify and monitor cost drivers across materials, labor, and overhead to explain variances and recommend efficiencies.
- Oversee inventory valuation for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods in alignment with IFRS and public company reporting rules.
- Coordinate inventory management efforts with operations, focusing on waste reduction and cycle count accuracy.
- Prepare comprehensive cost reports and contribute to quarterly/annual filings that comply with SEC requirements.
- Support internal and external audits, including detailed documentation for SOX compliance audits.
- Develop and manage cost-related budgets and forecasts, delivering actionable recommendations to meet performance goals.
- Champion continuous process improvements in cost tracking, ERP system usage, and financial reporting efficiency.
- Drive cost-reduction strategies by collaborating with procurement, production, and supply chain teams.
- Lead, train, and develop a team of cost accounting professionals, encouraging a high-performance, collaborative environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA, CMA, or MBA highly valued).
- At least 7 years of experience in cost accounting, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial context.
- Strong background in public company financial reporting, with working knowledge of SEC and SOX compliance.
- Advanced proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
- Expert-level Excel skills; experience with financial software such as Hyperion or OneStream is a plus.
- Comprehensive understanding of GAAP; familiarity with IFRS is advantageous.
- Demonstrated analytical skills and a track record of solving complex cost and financial challenges.
- Excellent communication abilities for translating financial data into clear business insights.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and adept at managing deadlines across multiple initiatives.
- Preferred experience includes ERP implementations and working within multinational operations.
COMPENSATION:$115,000 - $120,000
