SUMMARY
Our client, a global distribution company, is seeking a qualified Facilities Manager in their Texas location. This direct hire opportunity offers the opportunity to work with a highly successful and growing team! The primary function is to oversee the operation and maintenance of building systems and services, maintenance of warehouse equipment, and other matters related to the current property site.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintenance & repair of building mechanical systems, including HVAC, sprinklers, electrical and plumbing.
- Maintenance & repair of materials handling equipment including Raymond fork trucks, battery chargers, truck dock equipment, truck doors, trash balers and compactors, conveyor systems, shrink wrap machines, paper filler machines, Pflow lift and vertical carousels.
- Act as primary interface with property management and ensure lease compliance.
- Develop and maintenance a facility maintenance budget to include labor, service contracts, supplies and anticipated or actual repairs and/or improvements.
- Work closely with safety and operations teams to ensure safe operations, including ensuring compliance with all codes related to facilities including OSHA, local and state building codes, fire department regulations, etc.
- Conduct and document regular facilities inspections.
- Primary interface and vendor manager for security services.
- Closely partnering and communicating proactively with site & operational stakeholders on all projects, process changes and facilities enhancements.
- Plan and coordinate all installations (telecommunications, heat, electricity etc.) and refurbishments.
- Encourage and promote operating in a continuous improvement environment.
- Develop and implement an environmental plan that will reduce environmental footprint, developing and working against agreed targets and goals.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be bilingual with English/Spanish with ability to read & write in Spanish.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in industrial environment
- Ability to effectively use relevant systems.
- Effective leadership capabilities; able to mentor and coach team in area of responsibility and the achievement of organization goals.
- Ability to provide oversight of compliance and regulatory requirements pertaining to the facilities.
- Experience directly managing contractors and vendors.
- Prior experience with industrial space design and layout planning a plus
COMPENSATION: $75,000-$85,000
Salary : $75,000 - $85,000
