SUMMARY
Reporting to the Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer, the Vice President of Human Resources is responsible for developing and executing programs that support the company’s Integrated Talent Management strategy. This includes strategic workforce planning, organizational design, talent development, performance management, and enhancing overall organizational effectiveness within a complex and evolving structure.
In this key leadership role, the VP of HR leads a team of strategic HR business partners embedded within operations, manufacturing, quality, and R&D functions. They provide both strategic direction and hands-on HR leadership to ensure alignment with business goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and implement integrated talent management strategies, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Lead a team of HR Business Partners, overseeing the application of HR policies, talent strategies, and best practices across the organization.
- Partner with HR functions—including Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Internal Communications, HR Operations, and Total Rewards—to design and execute HR programs that attract, develop, and retain an inclusive workforce.
- Address complex employee relations matters, ensuring thorough investigations and adherence to legal and compliance guidelines in partnership with internal legal counsel and external advisors as needed.
- Develop and drive workforce planning initiatives aligned with both short- and long-term business objectives, working closely with business unit leaders to anticipate talent needs and challenges.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s degree (MS/MA) in Human Resources or a related field (preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Human Resources or a related field (required).
- 15 years of HR generalist experience within large, complex, high-growth organizations.
- 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably supporting Plant Operations, Manufacturing, Quality, and R&D.
- Proven track record in a senior HR leadership role, with expertise in strategic workforce planning, organizational design, and change management.
- Strong knowledge of HR functions, including talent management, recruitment, and training.
- Experience influencing and coaching senior leadership while driving organizational change.
- Familiarity with employment laws and best HR practices.
- Experience supporting commercial sales and marketing functions within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
