Job Title: Administrative Assistant - Childcare Center
Shift: Monday – Friday 9am – 6pm

We are seeking an energetic, organized, and compassionate Administrative Assistant to join our team and help us create an exceptional experience for our young learners and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administrative Support:
- Answer phones, respond to emails, and manage general inquiries from parents and families.
- Assist with scheduling appointments, meetings, and events within the center.
- Assist the Director and staff with various administrative tasks as needed.
- Children and Family Interaction:
- Addressing concerns and providing support as needed with children, families and staff.
- Foster positive relationships with children and their families, creating a warm and supportive environment.
- Assist teachers in managing children’s activities and helping with transitions between activities.
- Facility Organization and Cleanliness:
- Ensure that the childcare center is clean, organized, and safe for children at all times.
- Monitor and restock supplies, ensuring classrooms, play areas, and common spaces are well-maintained.
- Assist with daily cleaning duties such as sanitizing surfaces, organizing toys, and ensuring proper hygiene standards are met.
- Additional Responsibilities:
- Help with preparing materials and resources for classroom activities.
- Stay up-to-date with child care regulations, safety standards, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree or higher preferred).
- Prior experience working with children in a childcare or educational setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with children, families, and staff.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of early childhood development is a plus.
- Must be comfortable with cleaning and maintaining a tidy environment.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
- CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain (training may be provided).
