What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Trip Travel Planner position at Spectrum Tours Inc.?
Spectrum Tours, Inc. is a leader in the Student Tour industry in South Florida. We plan school group tours and field trips for private and public schools from all over the state of Florida traveling to many U.S. and European destinations. We are looking for an experienced travel planner who is very organized, hard-working, dependable, and can multi-task. This is a part-time position with a possibility to add additional hours as needed.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of a trip from creating a proposal to finalizing the trip
- Make reservations with airline, hotel, bus companies, restaurants, theme parks, etc.
- Communicating with school representatives
- Trip planning, scheduling, mapping itineraries
- Creating Final Itineraries
- Managing payment schedules
- Packaging travel documents
Qualifications
- Experience in travel planning a plus
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities and duties
- Strong Microsoft Office skills including Outlook, Word and Excel
- Experience in negotiating with vendors
