Job Summary
Selling telecommunications services through door-to-door contact with new prospective customers to connect people and communities.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Supports efforts to simplify and enhance customer experience.
- Acquires new residential customers through proactive consultative needs analysis and sales presentations.
- Accurately completes necessary paperwork for sales activities.
- Meets monthly sales quotas in data, mobile, landline phone, and video sales.
- Completes administrative tasks related to products sold.
- Well-informed about competitors' activities and informs manager of changing competitive pricing or sales tactics.
Required Qualifications
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English language.
- Engaging interpersonal skills and ability to listen and formulate needs-based sales strategies.
- Able to travel to and from assigned territories and company facilities using a reliable personal vehicle.
- Familiarity with computer operating systems and consumer communication devices.
Work Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
- Success in previous sales position, prospecting, or cold calling; direct sales experience preferred.
- Knowledge of cable or telecommunications services and data networking fundamentals.
Working Conditions
- Spends approximately 90% of time in an outside environment for extended periods in any season.
- Minimal time in an office environment.
- Exposure to moderate noise levels.
