A large, multi-billion dollar, publicly-traded government contractor is looking to hire a Senior Pricing Analyst. Experience in pricing for base operations support or range operations contracts is highly preferred. While this role is remote, there is a preference for prospective candidates to be located within the DMV area.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage cost/price volume responses for moderately to highly complex proposals with minimal oversight.
- Develop comprehensive cost models, detailed cost narratives, and all required pricing documentation.
- Ensure strict adherence to the estimating system manual, company policies, and regulatory guidelines.
- Conduct thorough quality assurance reviews to confirm accuracy, compliance, and responsiveness to solicitation requirements.
- Design and execute pricing strategies that align with company objectives and competitive positioning.
- Offer expert pricing support and guidance to field personnel engaged in pricing-related tasks.
- Mentor and oversee pricing team members on large, intricate proposals.
- Partner with Operations, Business Development, and Support teams to gather and analyze data essential for pricing and cost proposal development.
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong expertise in proposal development, cost strategy, and pricing methodologies for securing new and follow-on contracts.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Proficiency in drafting and reviewing pricing narrative responses.
- Extensive knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFAR), and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).
- Solid understanding of U.S. Government structure, acquisition policies, and procurement processes.
- Expertise in developing basis of estimates (BOEs) and bills of materials (BOMs).
- Advanced Excel proficiency and strong analytical and mathematical skills.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; two (2) years of experience in contracts or pricing may substitute for each year of education.
- At least twelve (12) years of hands-on experience in cost proposal preparation or development; relevant financial experience may be considered in place of some proposal-related experience (Or eight (8) years of experience required with a Master’s degree)
- Proven track record of managing multiple deadlines and shifting priorities while maintaining accuracy and high-quality output.
- Willingness to work extended hours, often on short notice, to meet critical deadlines.
