Position Summary

The Sales Intern will support the sales team in generating new business and nurturing existing customer relationships. This role involves a combination of prospecting, cold calling, and administrative support. The Sales Intern will gain hands-on experience in sales processes, CRM documentation, and customer engagement strategies. This is an excellent opportunity to learn, grow, and be part of a dynamic sales team and culture.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Assist in cold calling and networking to set appointments and pitch SpectrumVoIP.
  • Support the sales team in managing new and existing deals through all stages of the sales cycle.
  • Help develop value-based business relationships with B2B customers.
  • Assist in planning and organizing daily, weekly, and monthly work.
  • Submit activity reports and leverage the CRM platform.
  • Target Mid-Market to Enterprise accounts and set qualified face-to-face and webinar appointments for the Enterprise sales team.
  • Generate business through proactive outreach to new customers via cold calling, email, social media, and other prospecting techniques.
  • Research, qualify, manage, and track leads and related sales activities utilizing data resources such as Salesloft, Salesforce, and Salesgenie.
  • Follow the established SpectrumVoIP sales generation process which includes door knocking and speaking with decision-makers in person.
  • Use HubSpot to document all sales interactions and daily sales activity tools including Spotio and CRM.

  • Strong business acumen, tenacity, and proven ability to influence a broad range of decision-makers.
  • Mastery of telecommunications technologies.
  • Goal-oriented with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, HubSpot, and Apollo.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proven track record of developing new customer accounts requiring heavy prospecting, cold calling, appointment setting, and closing ability.
  • Demonstrable executive-level verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and think analytically.
  • Active listening skills.
  • Motivated, driven, self-starting, positive attitude.
  • Working understanding of telecommunications technologies.

  • Job Requirements 

    • Currently enrolled in an accredited 4 year-college with an expectation of graduating in August 2025 or earlier. Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in: Business Administration, Sales, Operations Management, or comparable major.
    • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
    • Experience with Microsoft Office 
    • Eagerness to learn and contribute to a dynamic team environment.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
    • Basic understanding of sales principles and customer relationship management.
