Office Lead

Spee Dee Delivery is a family owned and operated company that was started in 1978 by Donald and Sylvia Weeres. Our core business is in standard, next-day, ground delivery. The corporate headquarters and main sort facility is located in St. Cloud, MN. We currently employ over 1,800 employees company wide and over the years have expanded throughout the Midwest.

Job Summary

The Office Lead will assist the Special Accounts Manager in overseeing the day-to-day duties of office personnel.

Hours and Wages

• Monday-Friday, 7:00AM-4:00PM
• $24.00-$26.00 per hour, based on experience

Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee and assist the office staff to ensure deadlines are met when it comes to data entry, special accounts, and the walk-in counter
• Negotiate the purchase of office supplies and furniture, office equipment, etc., for the entire company in accordance with company purchasing policies
• Identify, recommend and implement measures to improve productivity, equipment performance, work methods, and customer service
• Distribute office supplies to all company locations
• Train and develop new office personnel
• Evaluate performance of office personnel
• Organize supply room and fill first aid kits
• Assist other departments as needed
• Perform other related duties as assigned

• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
• Professional phone etiquette
• Computer proficiency is necessary
• Knowledge and competency of entire office operation
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Work requires an ability to adapt and demonstrate flexibility

Education and Experience

• At least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 1 year of office experience preferred
• 2 years of formal education preferred
• Previous management experience preferred

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
• Ability to work with all types to freight which include, but are not limited to hazardous material, perishable food and alcohol, firearms, ammunition, and live animals
