Essential Functions
- Identify staffing needs by building relationships with schools and partner agencies, providing information on how our services can support their programs.
- Provide ongoing insight and guidance to new and existing schools/agencies regarding company policies, procedures, timelines, and expectations.
- Prepare, review, edit, and manage contracts for Speech and Occupational Therapy services, ensuring timely execution and collection of signed agreements.
- Develop and implement strategic staffing solutions by recruiting, screening, and interviewing qualified candidates.
- Address and resolve issues that arise between clinicians and schools/agencies, acting as a liaison to ensure positive outcomes.
- Match clinicians to appropriate settings based on hours, caseload, experience, and clinical strengths to ensure optimal placement.
- Collaborate with the HR Manager to facilitate a smooth and comprehensive onboarding process for new clinicians.
- For hybrid clinicians (serving both in clinic and school settings), work closely with the Clinic Speech Director to maintain quality therapy and adherence to organizational standards.
- Supervise Clinical Fellows, offering mentorship, training, and ongoing support to foster professional growth and ensure clinical excellence.
- Monitor and ensure timely submission of staff timesheets, maintaining accuracy and compliance.
- Research and stay up to date with CT Department of Education mandates regarding implementation of Speech services in academic settings. (CTSEDS, Medicaid)
- Train clinicians on how to effectively participate in PPT's and 504's.
- Ensure student attendance sheets are submitted to schools and accurately reflect reported hours in Paychex.
- Enter and maintain billable hours within the organization's statistical tracking system.
- Participate in the development and updating of internal protocols and contribute to revisions of the employee handbook as needed.
- Provide speech therapy coverage in the schools when clinicians are out sick or on PTO , when possible.
- Active CT Speech-Language Pathologist License
- 5 years' of experience working in a school setting
- Supervised CF's for at least 2 years
- Some clinical experience preferred
