Speech Tactics is seeking a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) or Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor (LCMHCS) to join our Behavioral Health Center. In this pivotal role, you will provide high-quality mental health services to children and families, helping to create meaningful and lasting impact. As a licensed clinical mental health counselor, your responsibilities may include conducting diagnostic evaluations, developing tailored treatment plans, and providing individual, family, and group counseling to clients from diverse backgrounds and age groups.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct diagnostic intakes and develop personalized treatment plans.
2. Provide evidence-based individual, family, and group counseling services to clients using a variety of therapeutic modalities.
3. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress, treatment plans, and other relevant information in accordance with organizational policies and regulatory standards.
4. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including speech therapists, behavior analysts, psychologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and ABA therapists to coordinate care and ensure holistic treatment approaches.
5. Participate in regular interdisciplinary team meetings, case conferences, and clinical supervision sessions to review cases, discuss treatment strategies, and enhance professional development.
6. Stay updated on best practices, emerging research, and industry trends in the field of counseling and behavioral health.
7. Adhere to ethical and legal standards of practice, including maintaining client confidentiality and respecting cultural diversity.
8. Provide crisis intervention and support to clients experiencing acute mental health crises or emergencies as needed.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, or related field from an accredited institution
Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) or
Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor (LCMHCS).
Clinical experience with children ages 2-18
Experience using Evidence-Based Treatments
Training and clinical experience using theory-specific play therapy
Experience being the primary therapist for individual, group, and family counseling.
Experience using the DSM-5-TR for diagnostic intakes and treatment planning.
Experience evaluating and treating developmental disorders, feeding and eating disorders, mood and anxiety disorders, etc.
Experience with differential diagnosing and related assessment
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively document client progress and communicate with interdisciplinary team members.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to ethical standards of practice.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
Flexibility to adapt to changing caseloads, priorities, and organizational needs.
Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines governing the practice of counseling and behavioral health services.
