Duties / Responsibilities
- Supervise Shipping and Receiving Associates; provide performance feedback, coaching, training and disciplinary action.
- Direct daily activities, manage workforce scheduling for inbound, outbound shipping and receiving transactions at multiple locations.
- Addresses shipping and processing defects by determining root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
- Coordinate and assist in the loading and unloading of materials, review shipments for accuracy, material receipts and discrepancy resolution.
- Maintain strict adherence to shipping SLAs.
- Working knowledge of small parcel, freight, and full truckload modes of transport
- Oversee warehouse transactions to ensure inventory accuracy, develop metrics and KPI’s.
- Ensure a culture of safety by enforcing safety standards and adhering to standard operating procedures.
- Identify opportunities for improvements and make suggestions to the Fulfillment Center Operations Manager.
- Possible travel to multiple fulfillment centers.
- Assist in onboarding, implementation and standardization of site facilities.
- Other duties as directed by management.

- 3-5 years’ experience in an Assistant Manager role in a Fulfillment Center environment, preferably in a 3PL environment.
- Proven record of strong people management skills.
- Project Management/Process Improvement skills a must.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office programs for reporting, tracking, and maintaining quality programs.
- Fork truck certified and familiarity with OSHA certification requirements.
- Ability to walk or stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Must be about to work in a warehouse environment with a noise level up to 85dBA.
