Our Solar Project Design team is at the forefront of this innovation, crafting tools that integrate advanced aerial imagery, 2D and 3D graphics, and machine learning to automate and streamline solar design processes. We’re looking for a technically proficient and visionary Product Manager to lead this critical team into the future.


Position Overview:

The Product Manager for the  Solar Project Design team will serve as a pivotal leader in developing and delivering transformative solutions in solar design. This role demands a unique blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and customer focus. You will partner with software engineers, data scientists, and UI/UX designers to drive innovation in areas such as aerial imagery integration, 3D rendering, and computer vision automation. This is a hands-on role where you’ll shape the strategy, roadmap, and execution of industry-leading tools, balancing science, technology, and customer delight.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive Technical Vision
    • Lead product development for highly technical features like 3D graphics rendering, aerial imagery integration, and computer vision algorithms.
    • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure technical feasibility and scalability of solutions.
  • Develop and Maintain the Product Roadmap
    • Translate complex business objectives and user needs into a clear, actionable product roadmap.
    • Prioritize features and technical requirements to balance customer impact, technical constraints, and business value.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration
    • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to define product requirements.
    • Regularly present progress, updates, and future plans to leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Technical Problem Solving
    • Deconstruct complex technical problems into manageable increments, ensuring incremental delivery of value.
    • Leverage data, analytics, and customer feedback to guide decision-making.
  • Own Product Execution
    • Work directly with software teams to groom backlogs, refine user stories, and ensure development stays aligned with business goals.
    • Collaborate closely with machine learning and data science teams to optimize automation and predictive modeling efforts.
  • Champion Product Success Metrics
    • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and establish methods for tracking the effectiveness of product releases.
    • Regularly evaluate product-market fit and recommend pivots when necessary.
  • Be a Cross-Functional Liaison
    • Act as a bridge between highly technical teams (engineering, data science) and non-technical stakeholders, translating needs and opportunities into actionable deliverables

Requirements

Qualifications:


Required

  • 1-4 years of experience as a Product Manager in a technical domain (preferably SaaS or solar).
  • Hands-on experience working with highly technical teams in domains such as 3D rendering, computer vision, or machine learning.
  • Strong understanding of Agile practices, with expertise in backlog grooming, user story creation, and sprint planning.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams in fast-paced environments.

Preferred

  • Familiarity with tools like JIRA, ClickUp, and version control systems.
  • A technical background (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, or related field).
  • Experience with geospatial tools, 3D graphics software, or aerial imagery platforms.
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent certification.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work effectively in an office or remote setting, using computer-based tools for extended periods.
  • Proficiency in utilizing standard office and technical equipment for documentation, collaboration, and communication.
  • Capacity to travel occasionally for in-person meetings, stakeholder engagements, or product demonstrations.
  • Strong focus and attention to detail for reviewing complex technical specifications, user feedback, and product requirements.
  • Effective verbal communication skills for collaborative discussions, presentations, and strategic planning.



Salary : $80,000 - $130,000
