Package Delivery Driver $21-$22/Hour

Skedaddle Inc. is hiring for full-time Package Delivery Drivers to deliver FedEx packages from Johnstown, CO. Earn $21 - $22/hour to start on a 4 day/10 hour schedule, with opportunity to be promoted into a salaried step van driver earning $1100/week on a 5 day schedule. Skedaddle Inc. is a FedEx delivery contractor and this parcel delivery courier career is a great position for anyone with prior experience as a package handler, warehouse associate, or transportation team member. This role is located at our delivery sortation terminal near I-25 and US 34 in the Loveland, CO. We're just a few minutes away from Fort Collins and Greeley.

The ideal candidate for this logistics career is an individual that is obsessed about safety, service, and making the day of each customer. The Package Delivery Driver role is a physically demanding, outdoors position which requires being able to work at a steady pace (delivering to up to 20 addresses per hour) while lifting packages weighing up to 150 pounds. A typical team member may walk up to 5 miles per day to the front door of residential addresses while continuously standing, climbing, bending, and pushing/pulling carts.

Drivers can be promoted to a salaried step van driver earning $1100/week on a 5 day schedule based on your safety, service, and efficiency at completing deliveries.

WHERE IS THIS POSITION LOCATED?

This position is based at our delivery terminal near the I-25 and US 34 exit in the Loveland, CO and Johnstown, CO area. We are just a few minutes from Fort Collins and Greeley!

WHEN DOES THIS POSITION WORK?

Hourly employees work 4 days a week, up to 10 hours per day, between the hours of 08:00 AM - 6:30 PM. Drivers promoted into the salaried step van driver position will work a 5 day/week schedule. We have immediate openings for employees available to work on a Thu-Sun or Sat-Tue schedule.

WHAT ARE THE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES FOR A PACKAGE DELIVERY DRIVER?

• Operate a Cargo Van, Cutaway Van, or Step Van with a weight rating of 10,001 pounds or greater. This role will require completing a DOT physical and obtaining a DOT medical card (paid for by the company).

• Work for 10 hours per day to complete a full delivery route where you may deliver packages to 150 - 200 addresses per day.

• Walk, lift, climb, bend, reach above the head, kneel, crouch, twist, and/or stretch during shifts up to 10 hours long.

• Lift, push, pull, and sort boxes and packages weighing up to 150 pounds each on a frequent basis.

• Communicate effectively and professionally with members of the public, coworkers, managers, and delivery terminal employees.

• Speak, read, and write in English to communicate with the general public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records.

• Operate a global positioning system (GPS) navigation system for guidance to each delivery address on your route.

• Use electronic devices for route navigation and planning, along with for scanning packages for delivery or pickup.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO APPLY FOR THIS ROLE?

• Commercial, DOT, CDL (or work-related) driving experience is a plus, but not mandatory

• Must be at least 21 years old

• Hold a Colorado driver's license. An out-of-state license may be acceptable depending on the local regulations of that state; however, out-of-state licenses may delay pre-employment processes.

• Authorized to work in the United States

• Must pass a 5-Panel Drug Screening (which does include pre-employment testing for marijuana)

• Must have a clean motor vehicle report (multiple violations can disqualify you from the position)

• Must be able to pass a DOT physical and obtain a Commercial Driver Medical Certification

• Must have good English speaking, reading, writing / communication skills
