Speedbox LLC is seeking a Transportation Manager to oversee Package Delivery Operations, Fleet Maintenance , and Employee Training as part of our locally-owned last-mile transportation and logistics company. What Will You Be Doing?
In this role, you will lead a team of 30 - 40 package delivery drivers while coordinating transportation activities and processes to ensure our team safely delivers every package with exceptional customer service during each shift. The Transportation Manager is responsible for developing and operating cost-effective package delivery operations which keeps employees & the community safe, exceeds customer expectations, and ensures on-time delivery to addresses across Colorado. This position will provide strategic vision, leadership and oversight to key initiatives and teams, assist in definition of required outcomes and milestones, set performance targets and monitor performance relative to targets, and ensure delivery of needed results. Key activities include :
- Assigning drivers / vehicles to delivery routes, monitoring the progress of routes throughout the shift, and coordinating our response to irregular operations such as vehicle breakdowns.
- Holding 30-40 direct reports accountable to the highest standards, setting clear goals and expectations while providing regular feedback, mentorship, and training. Effectively counsel and manage employees on safety, attendance, performance, and / or misconduct.
- Taking responsibility for minimizing delivery costs and increasing driver productivity, such as by directing employees on proper procedures for vehicle loading and route navigation.
- Communicating with fleet maintenance vendors to schedule vehicles for preventative maintenance and to ensure timely completion of repairs.
- Supporting the company in identifying the root cause of underperformance in safety / quality / productivity goals, in contributing to measure them, in driving action plans, and in implementing corrective actions.
- Being a hands-on leader that is excited to get involved with all facets of our business, including delivery operations, fleet management, occupational safety, human resources, and expansion opportunities.
- Recruiting, onboarding, training, and scheduling new employees to maintain reliable service year-round.
- Ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and municipal regulations along with client rules regarding employee safety, DOT operations, and training requirements.
- Partnering with external clients to better support their business needs.
- Leading from the front when necessary and doing whatever it takes to ensure operational success.
- Helping to create a fun, safe, and rewarding work environment for all team members.

Work Locations
This position will be based at one of our delivery stations in Broomfield, CO (near I-25 and Highway 7) or Aurora, CO (near I-70 and Tower Road) depending on your location preferences.
Typical Work Schedule
The Transportation Manager will work 4 days a week, 10 - 12 hours per day, starting at 08 : 45 AM in Aurora or 09 : 45 AM in Broomfield. We're hiring for leaders available to work a Sun-Wed or Wed-Sat schedule.
