At Speedy's E-Bike Rescue, we're a Seattle-born transport service making caring for an e-bike just as pleasant and painless as riding it. We're fellow cycling enthusiasts who understand the challenges of getting your bike where it needs to go when pedaling isn't an option. Take a look at what we do and see for yourself!

We pick up broken bikes and deliver them to your favorite shop so you can get back to doing what you love fast and headache-free. We're the invisible safety net for Seattle's e-bike community, rescuing stranded riders and transporting bikes for maintenance.

Why we need you

When a cyclist is stranded with a dead battery, flat tire, or mechanical issue, their day comes to a sudden halt. That moment of vulnerability and frustration is where you come in – as their hero.

Without you, these riders would be left with limited options: an expensive uber (if they can even fit their big e-bike), calling a friend who may not be available, or a long walk home pushing a heavy e-bike. You transform that moment of defeat into relief. You're not just moving bikes; you're restoring freedom and rebuilding confidence in sustainable transportation choices.

Here's what you'll be doing

You'll be the face of Speedy's to cyclists at their most vulnerable moments, arriving with a smile when they need help the most. You'll transform stressful situations into sighs of relief, ensuring their day can continue and their beloved bike gets the care it needs.

You'll also support our educational initiatives by delivering bikes to schools throughout Western Washington, helping the next generation discover the joy and freedom of cycling. Your reliability and care will make you a beloved figure in Seattle's cycling community. You'll:

• Respond quickly in our electric van to rescue calls throughout the Seattle metro area, providing calm, reassuring service when cyclists need it most
• Safely load and transport bikes of all types, with special expertise in handling heavier cargo and e-bikes
• Support a Washington State bicycling initiative by delivering bikes to school districts throughout Western Washington
• Build relationships within the cycling community, becoming a trusted face of Speedy's
• Contribute ideas to the founder to improve our service based on your frontline experiences with customers

You need these qualifications

• You are 21 years or older with a valid driver’s license for at least 3 years
• You own a smartphone and are able to use Google or Apple maps
• You are able to communicate effectively digitally via text and email.
• You're physically capable of safely lifting and securing bikes, which means you can frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and lift up to 49 lbs, without reasonable accommodation
• You have experience providing exceptional customer service, especially in situations where people are stressed or frustrated
• You're reliable and respond quickly, understanding that cyclists are counting on your prompt arrival
• You're comfortable with a flexible schedule that includes some evenings and weekends when cyclists need you most
• You're able to pass a motor vehicle history check if offered the position

It would be nice if

• You're a cyclist yourself who understands the joy of riding and the frustration of mechanical issues
• You're familiar with the local cycling infrastructure and bike shop community
• You have experience with logistics, delivery services, or transportation
• You're passionate about sustainable transportation and reducing car dependence in our city
