The Senior Project Manager will be part of the dynamic A/E Design team within SDB’s Design-Bid-Build operations. This team is primarily involved in the design of various project types within the Veterans Affairs Medical Center systems throughout the Western United States. The position collaborates with all other design discipline staff and will help build the team’s architectural design department.

Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in project management, Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
- 10 years of experience in architecture,engineering
- Experience with AEP project delivery for the US Navy, NAVFAC, USACE, Air Force, Veterans Affairs, and DoD
- Advanced proficiency in relevant current software including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook), Blue Beam, Revit
- Demonstrated abilities in negotiation, representation and liaison with all Stakeholders
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to perform efficiently and independently within the design budget and schedule, to produce high quality deliverables responding to client's program
- Master's Degree
- PE or RA registration
- PMP Certification
- Work as part of a team leading design projects, stakeholder meetings, existing conditions analysis, as well as presentations for Clients and other meetings as required
- Alongside other Project Managers, have responsibility for managing the design process and provision of high value technical expertise for relevant projects as assigned by the Project leadership
- Coordinate with other team members and technical disciplines (Clients, Site Managers, Mechanical/ Architects/ Electrical/ Structural/ Civil Engineers andPlanning staff) for all facets related to design program implementation and construction.
- Participate, along with other Project Managers, in the development and review of construction documents for a wide range of projects
- Conduct on-site observations and compliance checks, as well as facility condition assessments
- Review documents in various phases for design intent, and compliance with all regulatory documents. The ability to perform quality checks and back-checks for design work and client comments for multiple disciplines is a must
- Supervise and mentor junior members of the team
- Support Spees Design Build’s marketing team when preparing responses to client issued Requests for Qualifications (SF330), and subsequent fee proposals
- Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to Spees Design Build’s policies and procedures
- Work with consultants to furnish proposals, and work with the contracts department to draft consultant contracts
- Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs
