What are the responsibilities and job description for the Retail Floor Associate position at Spence Hardware & Supply, Inc.?
Spence Hardware is currently accepting applications for a friendly, hardworking, and self-motivated Full Time Floor Associate for our Farm and Ranch/Hardware Store. Previous retail experience strongly desired. Students are welcome to apply, but this position requires weekend and 7am-7pm weekday availability. Tasks include daily interaction and assistance with customers in which a high level of customer service is expected in a team environment. Basic knowledge in lawn and garden, hardware, plumbing, electrical, and farm supplies sets you apart as a candidate. Duties include assisting customers, stocking shelves, maintaining a clean, organized department, cashiering as needed, your full attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Ability to lift 60 lbs is required. This position has the potential for advancement. Experience operating a forklift and skid steer are helpful but not required.
