What are the responsibilities and job description for the Retail Floor Associate position at Spence Hardware & Supply, Inc.?
Spence Hardware is currently accepting applications for a friendly, hardworking, and self-motivated permanent Full or Part-Time Floor Associate in our Lawn and Garden Department for our Farm and Ranch/Hardware Store. Knowledge and experience with soils, fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides, seeds, and lawn and garden tools is a plus for this position. Previous retail experience strongly desired. Students are welcome to apply, but this position requires consistent weekday availability as well as at least 1 weekend shift. Tasks include daily interaction and assistance with customers in which a high level of customer service is expected in a team environment. Additionally, basic knowledge in hardware, plumbing, electrical, automotive, paint, and/or farm supplies sets you apart as a candidate. Duties include working as a team, assisting customers, stocking shelves, maintaining a clean, organized department, cashiering as needed, your full attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Ability to lift 60 lbs is required. This position has the potential for advancement. Operating a fork lift and skid steer are helpful but not required.

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
