What are the responsibilities and job description for the Critical Care Anesthesiologist opening just SE of Albany, GA position at Spencer Britt?

We are seeking a full-time anesthesiologist / critical care physician to join our team. As a member of the Anesthesia team, we are looking for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Anesthesiologist who has Critical Care experience. This position includes additional support from Anesthesiologists, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs), and Anesthesiologist Assistants (AAs).

Salary : Guaranteed salary is competitive and commensurate with experience
Schedule : 26 weeks on / 26 weeks off (typically 7 on / 7 off unless mutually agreed upon by anesthesiology team)

2 anesthesiologists scheduled per shift; supervise CRNAs and AAs

Call : Call required during week on; critical care call and back up for anesthesiologists on

Opportunity : Opportunity to precept medical students and residents

Hospital Facilities : 24 / 7 access to physicians’ lounge with meals provided; a 24-hour all-access employee fitness center; and a state-of-the-art Medical Education Center with simulation rooms, a conference center, and more.

Technology : New anesthesia Mindray machines, including new ultrasounds.

Additionally, we have a Glideslope for emergency airways and Belmont for rapid infusers.

7 OR suites; 2 endoscopy suites

ICU : 10 bed open unit; consult only; partner with pulmonology and critical care physician for daily rounds

Cases :

We do not perform cardiac (heart) or neurosurgery (head) cases. Bread and Butter general anesthesia cases performed (nerve blocks, A-lines, epidurals, etc.).

8-9 starts a day

700 cases a month (~200 of those is endoscopies)

OB services (750 deliveries a year)

Lots of robotic cases; state-of-the-art medical equipment / technology (4 Da Vinci Robots, the mako robot, etc.)
