Responsibilities
The Assistant, Design will assist in designing products within the Decor team. You will work under the close supervision of a Lead Designer and also assist other team members as needed.
- Assist in the creation and development of seasonal décor and graphics
- Clip images for presentations and final upload into the system
- Illustrate, spec and provide clear direction to overseas vendors and licensors
- Collaborate with cross functional teams
- Organize project files, project libraries, prepare sample submissions for licensors, and assist with meeting preparation
- Work closely with designers to perform minor conceptual projects
- Listen to feedback to improve skills and design
- Participate in various design project from concept to final stage
Qualifications
- Degree in Design & Fine Art or Product Design from a two or four-year college or university, and 1 year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of design programs, including Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop as well as spreadsheet software and word processing software. This includes Microsoft Office software
- 3D software knowledge, Zbrush, & Rhino is a plus
- A passion for Halloween & Christmas, with diverse knowledge of popular culture
- Strong drawing ability with creative problem-solving abilities
- Keen eye for detail, ability to follow directions, teamwork skills, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with industry professionals
- Conceptual, creative, self-starter, & versatile
