Responsibilities
The Visual Merchandiser is responsible for creating merchandising strategies, as well as executing, communicating, and training the field as to these strategies, for in-store implementation.
- Creates breakthrough displays/presentations to excite customer to maximize the shopping experience, generate a "WOW" factor, and further enhance the Spirit brand
- Partners with Buyers to "style-out" assortments and develop merchandising strategies; transfer strategies to "Planograms" and other forms of instruction for field use
- Assists in creating a visual merchandise manual with detailed directions on merchandising strategy execution
- Answers all technical questions regarding merchandising concepts
- Reviews all new merchandising strategies with Senior Management, obtaining approvals prior to plan execution
- Creates and executes all merchandise concept plans on time and within budget
- Creates various model layouts, to include custom layouts for unique store sizes, using SketchUp
- Travels to other markets to assist with the execution of the merchandise concept
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Excel, Word, Outlook, and Publisher. Experience with Photoshop and SketchUp and/or AutoCAD
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Must exhibit versatility and creativity
- Ability to work well with others
- Travel required
