Position Highlights
Spencer Hospital is a rural hospital located in northwest Iowa employing over 500 employees. Positions at Spencer Hospital are not affiliated with Avera; however, we collaborate to provide services to the communities we serve. Employment offers, if accepted, are exclusively with Spencer Hospital.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for procedures related to cleaning, sterilizing, and assemble of equipment, supplies and instruments for use in medical and surgical interventions
Requirements:
- HS diploma or equivalent required
- One year experience in central sterilization or hospital related field that would provide a background in medical terminology, sterile technique, or applied medical supplies and equipment preferred
- Possess good communication skills and contribute to completing the required work of the team
- Possess good decision-making skills, organizational skills, and able to adapt to change and flexibility
- Detail oriented
Schedule:
- 72 hours per pay period
- 4-10 hour variable day/evening shifts per Mon-Fri
- On-call nights, weekends and holiday rotations
- The schedule may fluctuate based upon the needs of the department
