What are the responsibilities and job description for the Piping and Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID) Designer position at Spencer Ogden?
Location : Riceboro, GA (Onsite)
Contract Length : 12 months (Potential for extension or direct hire)
Schedule : 9 / 80 or 4 / 10 (40-hour work weeks)
We are seeking a P&ID Designer to support capital projects and piping / plant design efforts. This role requires a strong understanding of P&ID reading and development , making it a great fit for candidates with backgrounds in piping, pipefitting, or welding who have transitioned into design.
Key Responsibilities :
Develop and interpret Intelligent P&IDs for capital projects ( must have experience with Intelligent P&ID )
Work closely with engineers and project teams to ensure accuracy in piping and plant design
Utilize Aveva as the primary design tool
Work with AutoCAD and other relevant design software
Qualifications :
5 years of experience in piping design, P&ID development, or a related field
Must have experience with Intelligent P&ID
Strong industry knowledge and ability to adapt to company-specific workflows
