Quality Technician
Pay : $45 - $48 / hr
Duration : 6 month contract to hire
Notes : 100% travel based. 4 weeks on, then Thursday through Monday off
Overview :
Fluence Energy is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Quality Control Technician to join our dynamic team. The Quality Control Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and reliability in our energy storage products. Key Responsibilities :
Quality Inspection :
Conduct thorough inspections of incoming materials, components, and finished products to verify adherence to quality standards and specifications.
Testing and Analysis :
Perform functional and performance testing on energy storage systems and components using a variety of testing equipment and procedures.
Documentation and Reporting :
Maintain accurate records of inspection and test results, documenting any deviations or non-conformities observed. Prepare detailed reports summarizing findings and recommendations.
Root Cause Analysis :
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate and troubleshoot quality issues, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Process Improvement :
Continuously evaluate and improve quality control processes and procedures to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and reliability.
Compliance Assurance :
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies related to quality and safety.
Supplier Relations :
Interface with suppliers to communicate quality requirements, resolve quality-related issues, and drive supplier quality improvement initiatives.
Training and Support :
Provide training and support to production and engineering teams on quality control procedures, standards, and best practices.
Quality Culture :
Promote a culture of quality excellence throughout the organization, fostering a mindset of continuous improvement and accountability.
Qualifications :
1.5-3 years of solar quality experience at a minimum, BESS experience preferred
Associate degree or equivalent technical certification in engineering, quality assurance, or a related field is a plus.
Proven experience in quality control or quality assurance, preferably in the energy storage, electrical, or manufacturing industry.
Strong understanding of quality control principles, methodologies, and tools, such as statistical process control (SPC), root cause analysis (RCA), and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA).
Familiarity with relevant quality standards and regulations, such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and UL certifications.
Proficiency in using testing equipment and software applications for quality inspection and data analysis.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve quality issues effectively.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functional teams and communicate technical information clearly and concisely.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
