What are the responsibilities and job description for the VP Construction Manager position at Spencer Ogden?
We are partnered with a high growth data center to hire a Vice President of Construction.
The VP of Construction will lead the design, engineering, and delivery of mission-critical facilities across a geographically dispersed portfolio, they will guide internal teams and external partners to ensure consistent project success on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own full project lifecycle from design development through commissioning and turnover
- Build scalable construction processes, KPIs, and best practices
- Develop strategic partnerships with GCs, vendors, trades, and consultants
- Oversee procurement, QA/QC, commissioning and financial performance
- Support real estate diligence and expansion initiatives
- Lead with a culture of innovation, precision, and accountability
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- 15 years in design or construction of large-scale mission-critical facilities
- Data center sector experience
- Deep understanding of delivery models, technical infrastructure, and safety standards
- Experience working in high-growth, investor-backed environments
- Financial acumen with ability to manage complex budgets and reporting
- Cross-functional and senior stakeholders experience
Travel: up to 50% to support project delivery and team oversight
Salary : $240 - $260
