Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced drywall contractor to handle a drywall installation, taping, painting, and repair project affected by flooding. The project is expected to take approximately 10 days to complete.
Scope of Work:
- Drywall Installation:
- Install drywall in flood-damaged areas.
- Use moisture-resistant drywall where applicable (especially in bathrooms or wet areas).
- Taping and Mudding:
- Tape and mud drywall seams.
- Sand and smooth to match existing texture.
- This project also includes applying joint compound (mudding) directly onto concrete surfaces as required to achieve a uniform finish.
- Painting:
- Prime and paint all new drywall.
- Ensure the finish matches existing wall color and texture.
- Repairs:
- Repair any drywall that was damaged by flooding.
- Properly seal and finish any areas impacted by water.
Note: After drywall installation is complete, Spencer’s Remodeling, LLC will reinstall the original cabinets back onto the wall in their prior locations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in drywall installation and repair.
- Experience with moisture-resistant drywall and repairs related to water damage.
- Ability to match existing textures on walls (e.g., knockdown, orange peel).
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
- Must be licensed and insured.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently to meet the 10-day timeline.
Requirements:
- Own tools and equipment (or must be willing to supply them).
- Provide work references and a portfolio of similar jobs.
- Must have their own reliable transportation to and from the job site. This is a mandatory requirement and a condition of employment.
Note: If you do not have the necessary tools, Spencer’s Remodeling, LLC can provide them. However, in such cases, the subcontractor’s hourly rate will be adjusted accordingly to reflect tool usage and maintenance.
Compensation:
- Competitive pay based on experience.
- Project estimated at 10 days of work.
- Payment terms: $20-$30/hr depending on experience.
