About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced SaaS Cost Reduction Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, negotiating, and executing cost-saving strategies for clients utilizing major SaaS platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, AWS, Azure, ZoomInfo, Zoom, NetSuite, and other enterprise software solutions. Your expertise will help clients optimize their SaaS spend by reducing unnecessary costs, identifying better pricing structures, and ensuring that they are getting the most value out of their subscriptions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cost Analysis & Audit: Conduct detailed assessments of clients’ current SaaS subscriptions, usage patterns, and contracts (Salesforce, HubSpot, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, AWS, Azure, ZoomInfo, Zoom, NetSuite, etc.) to identify opportunities for cost reduction.
  • Vendor Negotiation: Leverage market knowledge and vendor relationships to negotiate better pricing, licensing terms, and service agreements. Secure volume discounts, custom pricing structures, and appropriate scaling options based on client needs.
  • Cost Optimization Strategies: Identify underutilized licenses, redundant services, and inefficient usage of SaaS platforms to propose optimized solutions that maintain or enhance service levels while reducing costs.
  • License Management: Review and optimize user licenses and permissions, identifying opportunities for consolidation, downgrades, or renegotiation based on actual usage.
  • SaaS Contract Management: Support clients in negotiating, renewing, and reviewing SaaS contracts to ensure terms reflect current needs and market conditions, and that clients are not overpaying for features or services they do not need.
  • Case Study Development: Create detailed case studies to highlight successful cost reduction initiatives, showcasing real-world examples of how clients achieved significant savings through strategic vendor negotiations and platform optimization.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Provide clients with comprehensive reports on identified cost-saving opportunities, savings achieved, and recommendations for future optimizations.


Required Experience:

  • Proven Track Record: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in SaaS cost reduction, software procurement, or vendor management with platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, AWS, Azure, ZoomInfo, Zoom, NetSuite, and other similar SaaS products.
  • Case Studies & Results: Demonstrated experience in reducing SaaS costs by at least 20-30% for clients through strategic negotiations, optimization, or license management. Ability to provide specific case studies and examples of cost reductions achieved.
  • Contract Negotiation Expertise: Extensive experience negotiating SaaS contracts, renewals, and pricing models with large SaaS providers, ensuring the best pricing and terms for clients.
  • Data-Driven Approach: Ability to analyze complex data sets, including usage metrics, billing statements, and contracts, to identify inefficiencies and recommend cost-saving strategies.
  • Vendor Relationship Management: Proven ability to manage relationships with key SaaS vendors and account managers, using these connections to secure better deals, resolve issues, and optimize service terms.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex findings and strategies in a clear and actionable manner for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Project Management Skills: Ability to manage multiple SaaS accounts simultaneously, with a focus on client satisfaction, cost reduction, and project timelines.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Specific experience in healthcare and education fields
  • A background in financial analysis, procurement, or SaaS product management.
  • Strong understanding of software licensing models, multi-cloud environments, and SaaS billing structures.
  • Familiarity with emerging SaaS pricing trends and industry benchmarks.
