What are the responsibilities and job description for the CDL DRIVER position at Sperber Landscape Companies LLC?
Primary Purpose: The Roll Off Driver’s primary purpose, under the supervision of the Operations Manager, will be driving heavy vehicles, collaborating with dispatcher, discarding collected materials, hauling of large green waste and other debris.
Essential Functions
- Long-distance driving
- Communicating and coordinating with dispatchers
- Obeying and following applicable traffic laws
- Securing cargo and properly arranging and balancing it within the vehicle
- Mounting and dismounting a heavy-duty truck
- Maintaining a detailed log of working hours in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Ensuring any mechanical issues with the vehicle are corrected before driving
- Planning routes and meeting delivery schedules
- Complying with truck driving rules and regulations
- Reporting defects, accidents and violations
- Performing daily maintenance of truck (refueling, cleaning, etc.)
- Loading and unloading box trucks with forklifts and pallet jacks
- Interacting with customers in a professional manner
- Performing pre- and post-trip vehicle inspection reports
- Recording cargo deliveries
- Verifying loads for accuracy
- Truck Driver CDL A or B – Local Delivery
- Able to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of our truck at a high level
- Navigate through driveways and other various customer jobsite locations.
- Able to work various shifts including early morning and weekends when scheduled
- Knowledge of dump sites on O`ahu such as HPower, PVT, Waimanalo Gulch
- Knowledge of quarry sites on O`ahu
- Knowledge of O`ahu highways and roads
- Follow and maintain all safety measures where adhered to according to company policy and procedures
Salary : $25 - $30
