Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our team to provide hands-on healthcare in our small, patient-centered private Internal Medicine practice. The ideal candidate will have experience in seeing patients as a clinician, with a focus on creating lasting patient relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including taking medical histories, performing physical examinations, EKGs, and ordering diagnostic tests.
- Diagnosis and Treatment: Evaluate and diagnose a range of medical conditions, create treatment plans, prescribe medications, and implement clinical interventions in collaboration with supervising physician, Michael Sperling, MD.
- Chronic Disease Management: Monitor and manage patients with chronic conditions (e.g., hypertension, diabetes, asthma, and heart disease), making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary.
- Health Education: Educate patients on lifestyle modifications, preventive care, and self-management of chronic conditions.
- Patient Support: Answer patient questions, follow up on test results, and coordinate care for referrals to specialists or additional services when necessary.
- On-call/After-hours: Participate in the practice’s after-hours on-call rotation if applicable.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records in accordance with practice and regulatory requirements.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Supervising Physician, Practice Administrator, and other staff members to ensure the highest level of patient care and smooth practice operations.
Requirements & Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies or Nursing (Family Nurse Practitioner)
- Active PA or NP license in the state of New Jersey
- Certification by NCCPA for PAs or ANCC for NPs
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with patients and staff
- Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
- Strong ethical standards and adherence to medical regulations
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer skills
- No previous experience required
- Customer/patient service experience (preferred)

Expected Training Schedule (first 30-60 days):
Monday & Tuesday: 8:30-5
Wednesday: 12-8
Thursday: 8:30-3
Friday: 8:30-4
Expected Working Schedule (after training is complete):
4 days in-office (flexible hours), 1 day remote work (Totaling 40 hours per week)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $120,000.00 per year
