Role
The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) will lead the credit union’s technological strategy, digital transformation, cybersecurity initiatives, and information security policies. As a key member of the executive team, the CTO will ensure the alignment of technology with the credit union's goals, drive innovation, and manage the development and optimization of the technology infrastructure, systems, and digital experience for both members and employees. The CTO will also oversee the organization’s cybersecurity efforts and ensure robust information security practices to protect the credit union’s assets, data, and members' privacy.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Key collaborator and strategist for digital offerings. Works closely with other operational areas to ensure the best digital process innovation and integration for our members and staff
- Develop, implement, and manage robust cybersecurity strategies and policies to protect infrastructure, data, and members’ sensitive information from threats, breaches, and attacks
- Directs the administration of the Information Technology Department, including performance monitoring, reporting, technology planning process and staff management
- Responsible for the development and implementation of an Information Security Program to meet credit union and regulatory requirements
- Develop and implement long-range strategic plans to address the evolving information processing needs of the credit union and its members
- Drive the design and implementation of a seamless, user-friendly digital experience for the credit union members across mobile, online and digital platforms
- Directs and monitors all IT infrastructure and architecture, including recommendations on outsourcing versus in-house provisioning
Knowledge and Skills
- Experience:10 – 15 years of related experience with 5-7 years in a senior leadership role. Credit Union experience preferred
- Education/Certifications/Licenses: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or a related field
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong strategic thinking and leadership skills, ability to effectively manage, motivate and influence others, significant level of diplomacy and trust, ability to obtain cooperation is an important part of the job
