Spero Health is seeking a Medical Records Specialist to join our awesome team in Brentwood, TN!
This position is for a Medical Records Specialist who supports the mission of “Saving Lives, Instilling Hope and Restoring Relationships” in an integrated team with patients receiving counseling, case management and medically assisted treatment. The Medical Records Specialist responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Maintaining confidentiality of all patients’ medical records
- Maintain and track all audit requests per requirements outlined in request
- Ensuring that all patient documents and files comply with relevant policies and legislative requirements
- Track and document all incoming and outgoing records
- Provide support on projects to Revenue Operations departments as needed
Requirements
EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or GED required
EXPERIENCE:
- 2 years of medical records or revenue cycle experience preferred
- Working knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with medical insurance billing policies/procedures required
