Spero Health is seeking a Patient Care Specialist to join our awesome team in Brentwood, TN!
This position is for a Patient Care Specialist who supports the mission of “Saving Lives, Instilling Hope and Restoring Relationships” in an integrated team with patients receiving counseling, case management and medically assisted treatment. The Patient Care Specialist responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Answering and managing a high volume of inbound/outbound calls in a polite and timely manner.
- Communicate with patients and teammates, in a courteous, professional, cooperative & mature manner.
- Routinely demonstrate superior customer service skills.
- Promptly answering emails and online chats messages.
- Scheduling appointments using computerized scheduling systems.
- Effectively use computerized scheduling system to document patient records using proper English grammar, spelling, and syntax.
- Resolve patient issues and consistently meet or exceed patient's service expectations.
- Maintain accurate patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal/financial/insurance information.
- New patient registration, healthcare insurance verification and scheduling.
- Meet performance goals established for the position in the areas including but not limited to: efficiency, call quality, attendance, calls per day, patient satisfaction.
- Communicate all critical and/or functional concerns to the Manager and makes recommendations for solution.
- Protect patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information and follows HIPAA regulations.
Requirements
EDUCATION:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
EXPERIENCE:
- 1 to 3 years of related experience required
