We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Payroll Administrator to join our team. In this role, you will oversee full-cycle payroll processing while ensuring regulatory compliance, optimizing operational processes, and managing key department initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in handling complex payroll operations within multi-state or multi-jurisdictional environments and will be adept at analyzing data, managing vendor relationships, and driving continuous improvements across business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Full-Cycle Payroll Processing : Process the complete payroll cycle for a diverse employee base, ensuring timely and accurate payments in accordance with all relevant regulations.
- Compliance and Documentation : Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local payroll regulations. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of processes, contracts, and agreements to support compliance audits and internal reviews.
- Technical Proficiency : Extensive experience with payroll software systems (e.g., ADP, Workday, Paychex) and a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Process Optimization : Identify inefficiencies within existing payroll and operational processes. Propose and implement improvements designed to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs.
- Project Management : Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan, execute, and track projects related to business operations. Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget while meeting quality standards.
- Data Analysis and Reporting : Analyze payroll and operational data to generate comprehensive reports that provide insights into performance trends. Use these insights to support strategic decision-making and operational improvements.
- Vendor Management : Maintain effective relationships with key vendors. Negotiate contracts and ensure that the delivery of goods and services meets established quality standards and budget requirements.
- Issue Resolution & Audit Support : Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, serving as the primary point of contact for both internal and external audits by providing thorough documentation and analysis.
