We are currently looking out for a Design Engineer to support one of our clients who is a global technology leader that is advancing a sustainable energy future for all.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform various engineering tasks involving such functions as analysis design development test installation and service while working from instructions drawings proposals specifications Bill of Materials and other pertinent information.
- Prepare specifications and related documents according to requirements established formats and general instructions. Review and analyze various engineering data documents and reports.
- Consult with other engineering groups to ensure that specified engineering criteria are suitable for the proposed application and recommend revisions as appropriate.
- Investigate technical problems and establish procedures and corrective actions to avoid recurrences.
- General concentration of activities by allocating close to 40% of the time to customer focus and commercial orders about 30% to product care and 30% to operational troubleshooting and field support.
- Assist senior Engineers in preparing drawings / specifications material and design selection quotations licensing and safety documents and obtaining required approvals.
- Using stateoftheart CAD develop 2D and 3D models of components and assemblies for prototype production and retrofit builds as required.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to improve product design and performance.
- Ability to learn basic numerical tolerance calculations and stackup analysis.
