Who We Want
Spevco is seeking a well-rounded Detail Carpenter / Cabinetry Builder.
Experience in building custom cabinetry, set construction, trade show displays, and marine cabinetry is highly relevant to our industry. In this role, you may also be installing flooring and trim.
What You’ll Really Be Doing
Spevco’s details team members are constructing custom marketing and product displays, workstations, upper and lower cabinetry, interactive kiosks, and aiding in the finishing process of our trailers by installing flooring, wall panels, and finish trim in Spevco’s one-of-a-kind, custom exhibits, and vehicles. These vehicles support our clients’ mobile activations across lots of different end uses. You will be creating many of the interactive parts of our trailers and much of the finishing touches for brand experiences that our clients have come to expect from Spevco.
- Building the displays and interactive components that complete our event vehicles (typically custom cabinetry)
- Installing many of our finish details, including flooring and trim work
- Using your best judgment and asking questions when something might not make sense
- Always following safety guidelines
- Having fun in the process
What You Get Paid
This position is competitively paid on an hourly basis, and your level of experience and expertise will determine our offer.

Nitty Gritty Requirements
- Integrity, passion, leadership, and a positive attitude
- 1 year of carpentry, cabinetry, and finish carpentry work
- Ability to work with a variety of materials, including; plywood, hardwood, veneers, laminates, edge banding, hinge/latch hardware, and some ability to work with plastics (Plexiglas, acrylic, etc), and metals (aluminum, steel, stainless) is a bonus
- Ability to read cut lists and engineering drawings to cut and assemble various materials
- Mechanical abilities; skill in using tools such as hand tools, table saws, miter saws, drills, grinders, cut-off wheels, routers, sanders, etc
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to maintain a clean workspace and assist in shop housekeeping as required
- Strong safety mindset and willingness to be part of and promote our safety culture, always wearing proper PPE
- Team player who can also perform without supervision
Physical & Mental Requirements
Must have the physical and mental strength and endurance to be able to perform duties, in a manufacturing environment, as well as the ability to handle stressors of the position in operational and administrative situations. Required to lift and move 10-75 pounds frequently. Expected to stand, sit, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, talk, hear, smell, see, and operate objects, tools, and controls.
