Position Overview

We are looking for a Director of Artificial Intelligence to build and lead a world-class AI team, delivering state-of-the-art solutions using Generative AI, Deep Learning, and Machine Learning. Based in Atlanta, GA, this leadership role requires a visionary with a strong technical foundation and a proven track record in developing and implementing AI-driven strategies that achieve business objectives. The ideal candidate will collaborate across departments to integrate AI into Company offerings while fostering innovation and upholding ethical standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership:
• Recruit, train, and mentor a team of AI professionals, promoting a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
• Provide clear technical and strategic guidance to the AI team.
• AI Strategy and Development:
• Define and manage the AI product roadmap, ensuring alignment with the organization's goals.
• Oversee the development and deployment of AI models and solutions, meeting business objectives and technical standards.
• Innovation and Research:
• Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and the competitive landscape.
• Explore and incorporate cutting-edge advancements in Generative AI, Deep Learning, and Machine Learning
• Cross-functional Collaboration:
• Work closely with product, technology, and business teams to ensure seamless integration of AI solutions into the organization’s products and services.
• Translate complex AI concepts into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
• Project and Resource Management:
• Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring successful project execution.
• Implement Agile project management methodologies for efficient delivery of AI initiatives.
• Compliance and Partnerships:
• Ensure AI solutions comply with ethical, legal, and security standards.
• Establish partnerships with external vendors, research institutions, and thought leaders to leverage expertise and drive innovation.

Required Qualifications

• Education:
• Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field, with a focus on deploying AI-enabled products.
• Experience:
• 5–7 years of hands-on experience in AI development, including expertise in Generative AI, Deep Learning, and Machine Learning.
• At least 4 years of experience managing and mentoring technical teams.
• Proven track record of leading cross-functional AI projects successfully.
• Technical Skills:
• Deep understanding of AI model development, deployment, and scalability.
• Strong knowledge of cloud computing platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Proficiency with version control tools like Git.
• Soft Skills:
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and explain AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong Agile project management expertise, with the ability to manage budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.
• Other Requirements:
• Demonstrated ability to drive innovation in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong ethical standards and commitment to secure, compliant AI solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building partnerships with external vendors and research institutions.
• A track record of successfully implementing AI solutions that drove business value.
• Knowledge of industry regulations and standards related to AI ethics and security.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $80.00 - $85.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
