Position Summary
We’re seeking a detail-oriented, proactive, and highly organized Finance Assistant to support our financial and administrative operations. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and has a strong work ethic. While some responsibilities will be unique to our planning, design, and engineering firm, others will focus on general accounting and administrative support. This role is crucial in ensuring smooth financial operations, assisting team members, and supporting firm leadership.

Part-Time
15-20 hours per week
Responsibilities & Duties
· Maintain accurate financial records, including managing receipts, invoices, and financial transactions.
· Assist with Accounts Receivable (A/R) delinquency management by monitoring overdue accounts, following up on outstanding balances, and coordinating with relevant parties to ensure timely payments.
· Accurately code and categorize expense transactions, including credit card expenditures, to ensure proper financial tracking and reporting.
· Develop an in-depth understanding of organizational processes to enhance efficiency.
· Provide administrative support to the Admin team by assisting with financial tasks, reporting, and overall process coordination.
· Ensure strict confidentiality of financial records, personnel files, and client data, handling all sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
· This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multitask across financial and project-related responsibilities.
Qualifications & Experience
· Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in accounting, finance, or a related field.
· 5 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, or administrative support.
· Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
· High level of integrity, professionalism, and sound judgment in handling confidential information.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
· Proficiency in office software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Drive, and other cloud-based tools.
· Experience with QuickBooks (preferred but not required)—willingness to learn is a plus!
