Reports to : Senior Leadership / Director of Client Services

As we continue to expand we are looking for a highly motivated and strategic Account Director to join our New York office to lead and manage client relationships while overseeing the development and execution of impactful campaigns.

Position Overview :

The Account Director & Client Services will be responsible for driving the overall success of client accounts, ensuring that our clients receive outstanding service and results. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, exceptional communication, and leadership skills, as you will be managing client relationships, leading cross-functional teams, and ensuring the smooth execution of projects. You will serve as the main point of contact between the client and internal teams, maintaining strong relationships, managing expectations, and identifying new opportunities for growth.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Client Relationship Management :
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, building strong and trusted relationships, understanding client goals, and providing strategic advice to meet those objectives.
  • Proactively communicate with clients, ensuring regular updates and setting clear expectations.
  • Account Leadership :
  • Lead a portfolio of client accounts, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services and on-time project completion.
  • Oversee the development of campaign strategies, creative concepts, and overall project execution.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (creative, marketing, analytics, etc.) to ensure projects meet client goals and standards.
  • Strategic Planning and Execution :
  • Develop and present strategic plans for client accounts, aligning with their business objectives.
  • Drive the implementation and execution of marketing, advertising, and / or digital strategies.
  • Monitor campaign performance, analyze results, and make data-driven recommendations for optimization.
  • Team Leadership & Collaboration :
  • Mentor and support junior account managers and other team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal departments (creative, digital, media, etc.) to ensure cohesive and successful project outcomes.
  • Business Development :
  • Identify opportunities for account growth and new business within existing client relationships.
  • Support the pitch process, contribute to new business proposals, and assist in presenting to prospective clients.
  • Financial & Operational Oversight :
  • Manage account budgets, ensuring projects are completed within scope and on budget.
  • Forecast and track account revenue, billing, and profitability.

Required Qualifications :

  • Experience :
  • 5 years of experience in client services, account management, or a similar role within [industry-specific company].
  • Proven track record of managing large client accounts, delivering results, and driving business growth.
  • Skills :
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong strategic and analytical thinking with the ability to solve complex client challenges.
  • Exceptional project management skills and ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge :
  • Familiarity with [industry-specific tools, e.g., CRM systems, project management software, etc.].
  • Experience with digital marketing, advertising, or integrated marketing campaigns is a plus.
  • Education :
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Strong experience in [specific industry, e.g., digital marketing, advertising, or media].
  • Experience managing and mentoring teams.
  • Knowledge of data analytics and performance measurement tools.
