JOB SUMMARY:
Sphere Risk Partners is a third-party commercial claims administrator. We are looking for General Liability, Auto Liability, and Auto Physical Damage and Property adjusters. If you are a multi-line adjuster, this could be a fantastic fit! This position is responsible for all aspects of claims handling including determining coverage, investigating and determining the facts of loss, evaluating covered damages and effectuating settlement. Additionally, the position involves documenting all activity in the claims system and providing superior customer service to our clients.
ORGANIZATIONAL STATUS:
This position reports to the Claims Supervisor
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Claims administration
Customer Service - Deliver superior customer service to Sphere clients by handling claims in a timely and efficient manner, responding timely and effectively to customer inquiries, being available to assist clients with claim emergencies and providing effective claim solutions. Be familiar with and adhere to individual client service instructions.
File Documentation - A computer file will be maintained in claims system with all necessary data fields completed, a history of all financial transactions, electronically retained documents and file notes. All file activity will be recorded in the computer Claim Notebook.
Communication – Timely contact with clients and claimants. Timely reporting to excess carriers. Informing the client of high exposure, unusual claims or significant changes in liability or damages. Keep management informed. Communicate effectively and in the appropriate format for the message.
Technical Claim Handling – handle assigned claims in accordance with practices and procedures in Sphere Risk Partners’ Quality Standards.
Other duties as assigned to support the claims team as a whole.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
College degree or equivalent work experience. Associate in Claims Designation (AIC) or other insurance coursework preferred but not required.
Skills:
Strong written and verbal communication skills including business letter writing.
Strong investigative skills and an innate curiosity.
Demonstrated ability in basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and percentages.
Demonstrated ability to work on a claims system including data entry, diary, financial data management and file documentation.
Ability to manage multiple projects, activities and tasks simultaneously including establishing priorities.
Ability to maintain composure under pressure.
Flexibility and the ability to manage change.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
