Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Litigated Claims Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and processing claims efficiently while ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid understanding of claims management processes.
Responsibilities
- Manage the intake and processing of sensitive and confidential litigated insurance claims.
- Monitor claims for updates from defense counsel and communicate to relevant excess insurers as needed.
- Seek reimbursements from relevant excess insurers as needed.
- Review updates on discovery from defense counsel and compare to claim data currently on file and edit as needed.
- Request updates from defense counsel per established time interval.
- Collaborate with team members, Clients and defense counsel to facilitate favorable claim outcomes.
- Review claims to ensure compliance with Quality Standards and relevant statutes.
- Process claim-related payments such as legal bills and settlements.
- Document all activity in the claim system.
Experience
- Experience adjusting commercial insurance claims or working in a legal defense firm is preferred.
- Experience in a Risk Management, Brokerage or Underwriting role may be helpful to understand how complex insurance programs are put together.
- Experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant may be helpful to understand legal documents and the litigation process.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to automotive repair will be an advantage.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.
