A growing nonprofit organization in Somerset County, NJ, is looking for a Community Engagement Coordinator to help expand our outreach, foster community connections, and drive engagement.
This temp-to-perm, hybrid role starts with 15 hours per week and offers a flexible schedule. Ideal candidates will have experience in startups or nonprofit organizations and a proactive approach to managing multiple responsibilities.
What You'll Do:
Website & Social Media Management – Assist in creating and maintaining a website while building engagement through strategic social media outreach.
Community & Membership Engagement – Develop outreach plans, connect with local businesses, and oversee membership processes.
Event Coordination – Plan an annual in-person community event and organize monthly meetings, including guest speakers and agendas.
Administrative Support – Manage emails, maintain calendars, take meeting notes, and oversee email communications.
Government & Public Relations – Act as a liaison with township committees and address public inquiries professionally.
Creative Content – Use Canva to design eye-catching materials for events, emails, and social media.
What You Bring to the Table:
✔ Experience in community engagement, marketing, event planning, or a related field
✔ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, YAMM, MailChimp, and QuickBooks (basic knowledge)
✔ Strong organizational and multitasking skills with a keen eye for detail
✔ Effective written and verbal communication skills
✔ A self-motivated, proactive attitude with the ability to work independently
