Purchasing Agent

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Purchasing Agent for a direct hire opportunity!
The Purchasing Agent will procure goods and services in alignment with departmental and organizational policies and procedures. This role involves managing inventory levels, evaluating vendors, and negotiating favorable terms to support the company's operational needs efficiently and cost-effectively.

Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Responsibilities:

• Purchase goods and services in compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with managers to maintain optimal inventory levels.
• Assess vendors based on price, reliability, capability, and transaction history.
• Negotiate volume discounts, cash transaction discounts, and other cost-saving opportunities with vendors.
• Ensure all purchasing documents are accurate, complete, and include reasonable terms and conditions.
• Maintain comprehensive pricing histories and vendor records.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite software
• Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Knowledge of market trends and vendor management practices.
• Bachelor's degree in related field highly preferred
