The Professional Division of Spherion Mid Ohio is excited to partner with a company in Sandusky, Ohio, that is under new ownership and eager to bring on a 2nd Shift Quality Technician to join their growing team. This is DIRECT HIRE opportunity offering a chance to be part of a company that is modernizing and innovating its operations. Pay offered between $17.50/hr. -$19.50/hr.
Position: Quality Technician
Shift: 2nd Shift (flexibility and occasional overtime required)

Role Overview:
As a Quality Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring that all products meet the highest standards of quality and safety. You'll be responsible for conducting thorough inspections, testing, and documenting results, ensuring that any deviations are promptly addressed. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, works well in a team, and can handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspection & Testing: Perform both physical and visual inspections of products to ensure they meet quality standards.
Data Documentation: Accurately calculate, document, and report test results, ensuring that any deviations are quickly communicated to the appropriate personnel for corrective action.
Quality Assurance: Follow established QA procedures and assist in implementing any corrective measures as directed by the QA Manager.
Non-Conforming Product Management: Identify, segregate, and manage non-conforming products, ensuring they are properly handled and reported.
Compliance: Maintain adherence to all quality and food safety standards, including GMPs, SQF, FSMA, HACCP, and other relevant regulations.
Qualifications:
Experience: Prior experience in a food manufacturing environment, particularly with SQF standards, is highly desirable but not mandatory—training will be provided.
Knowledge: Familiarity with GMPs, SQF, FSMA, HACCP, Organic, Kosher, and GFCO practices is a plus.
Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, time management skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Teamwork: Ability to work well in a collaborative environment while also being self-directed and independent.
Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally and courteously with colleagues.
