The Professional Division of Spherion Mid Ohio is excited to partner with a company in Sandusky, Ohio , now under brand new ownership, working to modernize their facility with the latest technology and automation. This is an incredible opportunity to join their team as an Industrial Electric Technician with a company at the forefront of the food industry innovation. This is a Mid-Shift position (11am - 7pm) with initial training on first shift due to the growth of the operation as well as potential rotational on-call hours.

Overview :
We are seeking an Industrial Electric Technician to become an integral part of our maintenance team. This role is perfect for someone eager to grow their skills in electrical systems within a fast-evolving work environment. The Industrial Electric Technician will work on installing, maintaining, and repairing complex electrical systems while adhering to the highest safety standards.
Core Responsibilities :
Electrical Installations : Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and industrial control panels.
Equipment Installation : Support installation of electrical systems and machinery.
Preventative Maintenance : Perform preventative maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting per NFPA standards.
Follow Schematics : Use blueprints, schematics, and U.L. 508A guidelines for layout and installation.
Utilize Tool & Instrument Proficiency : Operate hand / power tools and test instruments like voltmeters and meggers.
Motor Maintenance : Troubleshoot, install, and maintain motors (single-phase, three-phase, DC).
Troubleshooting & Repair : Collaborate with Senior Electrician on troubleshooting and repairs.
Adhere to Codes & Safety Requirements : Ensure compliance with local, state, and national electrical codes (NFPA 70, 70E, 79). Follow safety protocols in industrial and food service environments.
Workplace Improvement : Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors. Participate in training to enhance technical skills. Maintain a clean, organized work area.
Qualifications :
High school diploma / GED with electrical experience in an industrial setting, preferred (but not required) accredited college degree in a related field
Familiarity with blueprints / schematics / wiring / running conduit
Troubleshooting skills - Preferred experience on PLCs & VFDs
Strong familiarity with electrical codes - Preferred NFPA codes (70B, 70, 70E, 79) and U.L.508A standards
Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.
Mechanical assembly on large equipment & IT experience a bonus
