Full Desk Recruiter

Spherion Staffing & Recruiting is hiring a full-desk recruiter to join our growing Rockford, IL team. As a full-desk recruiter, you will not only work to identify, evaluate, and onboard candidates for professional and skilled roles but will also build and nurture client relationships, presenting qualified candidates and offering consultative solutions. This position is a unique opportunity to blend recruiting expertise with client sales, focusing on adding value through quality placements and exceptional service.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute recruiting strategies to source and place candidates for professional-level roles, such as maintenance technicians, engineers, CNC operators, and production supervisors
• Engage in targeted sourcing activities, including leveraging third party job boards, social media, networking events, and community outreach to build a pipeline of high-level talent
• Create and send personalized candidate marketing materials, including job postings and promotional emails
• Foster strong relationships with new and existing clients to understand their recruitment needs, and help guide them in creating effective talent acquisition strategies
• Establish trust and credibility with clients through consistent, high-touch communication and service throughout the recruitment lifecycle
• Provide consultative services to clients to help them solve their talent gaps and build long-term relationships
• Contribute to team goals, sharing insights and strategies that improve the overall candidate experience and client satisfaction
• Maintain accurate records in our internal systems, tracking all communication and activities with clients and candidates
  
  

Skills

• A background in recruiting for professional and operational positions, such as engineers, maintenance technicians, CNC operators, or production roles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence clients and candidates effectively
• Comfortable with cold outreach and relationship-building, especially in a competitive market
• Resourceful with a can-do attitude
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience.
• At least 2 years of full desk recruiting experience, preferably with higher-level positions, or a combination of sales and/or professional recruitment experience
• Ability to thrive in a results-driven environment with sales-oriented goals
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
  
  

Compensation

• The salary range for this position is $50,000 - $65,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications. In addition, you will be eligible for an incentive program based on successful placements with clients, with earning potential tied to your performance. Incentive earnings are variable and based on placement targets, with additional details shared during the interview process.
